The Thai Fogarty ITREOH Center (Grant Number: 1 D43 TW007849 Fogarty International Center - National Institutes of Health) will provide training and research opportunities in a partnership between Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in the United States. Other collaborating institutions include the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS), Wake Forest University School of Medicine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), the US Geological Survey (USGS) and the Thai-US Fulbright Foundation. Congratulations to our 2011 Fogarty ITREOH Scholars. The Chulalongkorn Graduation ceremony was held on July 8, 2011 (2554) and presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Dr. Robson and the workshop attendees visited a primary school in Rangsit, about 50 KM from Bangkok. The school is focused on integrating agriculture and sustainability into the curriculum for the students Grades K to 8. Rutgers will host a service learning course at the school in July 2012. Here Dr. Robson and other members of the workshop team meet with the 7th and 8th grade students to discuss their program in food production.
Collaboration with Lao PDR in the Conference on Greater Mekong Sub-Regional Countries "Global Preventive Public Health Challenges" CPHS faculty and staff, lead by Dean Surasak, attended a three day conference in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
